The Kingdom of Forgotten Dreams

Fairy

On a quiet night, Mira sat on her bed, gazing at the moon from her window. She loved the night not because it was dark, but because it was filled with dreams and imagination. But that night, she felt something different as if a soft whisper filled the room. She looked around, then noticed something strange in the corner of her room. Where the wall was supposed to be, there was a small door she had never seen before. It was made of dark wood, twinkling with tiny lights like stars.Driven by curiosity, she approached and reached out her hand. The moment she touched the handle, the door quietly opened, and a light poured out from within. Mira’s heart raced, but she didn’t hesitate. She stepped inside, feeling as if she were floating in the air. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a place unlike anything she had ever seen. The sky was painted in colors she couldn’t name, the trees glowed like magical lanterns, and the air carried the scent of flowers that didn’t grow in the human world.“Welcome, Mira!”She turned quickly to see a girl standing in front of her, her hair shimmering like sunlight and her eyes glowing brightly.“Who are you? And where am I?” Mira asked in amazement.“I’m Noor,

guardian of the Kingdom of Forgotten Dreams!”The girl smiled and continued, “You are now in the Kingdom of Forgotten Dreams—the place where dreams go when humans forget them.”

Mira looked around in awe. All around her were glass bubbles floating in the air, each one holding a different dream—a little girl drawing a rainbow in the sky, a city made of books floating among the clouds. But something strange was happening—some of the dreams were fading, slowly disappearing like melting mist.“What’s happening?” Mira asked with concern.Noor sighed softly. “It’s the work of the Lord of Forgetting. He’s a mysterious being who lives in the shadows, stealing dreams forgotten by their owners, making them disappear forever.”Mira shivered. “But why would he do that?”“He believes that forgotten dreams lose their worth. He doesn’t understand that even forgotten dreams can inspire us.”Mira looked at the fading dreams and said, “We have to do something!”Noor pointed to a glowing pendant around her neck. “This necklace keeps the kingdom in balance. But it weakens with every stolen dream. If it loses all its light… the kingdom will vanish.”Mira felt a wave of determination. “We must bring back the dreams before the Lord of Forgetting takes them all!”Noor smiled, extended her hand, and a gate of silver mist appeared before them. “We’re going into the Realm of Shadows,

where he stores the dreams he’s stolen. But be careful the longer we stay, the more likely we are to forget ourselves too.”Mira’s heart pounded, but she gathered her courage. She took Noor’s hand and stepped through the gate. The Realm of Shadows was unlike the dream kingdom. It was dark—not a normal darkness, but one that pulsed with movement, almost alive. There were black birds with transparent wings, leafless trees, and a starless sky.In the center stood a massive tower, smoke rising from its peak.“The dreams are imprisoned there,” Noor whispered.Mira stepped forward carefully and found the tower’s door open. Inside, the dreams were trapped in glass spheres but they were dim, weak, almost dying.Suddenly, a deep voice echoed:“Who dares enter my realm?”Mira turned and saw a tall, shadowy figure with no clear shape just shifting darkness.“I’m Mira, and I’ve come to return the dreams to where they belong!” she said boldly.

The Lord of Forgetting laughed. “Why? Their owners already forgot them. Why hold on to something no one remembers?”Mira looked at the glass spheres and replied, “Because dreams don’t die, even if they’re forgotten. They’re little seeds that can one day grow into great ideas, stories, inventions, or even moments of sudden joy.”Suddenly, something amazing happened. The dim spheres began to glow again. With every word Mira spoke, the dreams regained their light. The Lord of Forgetting screamed as he backed away the light hurting him. He tried to extinguish the dreams again, but it was too late. The kingdom was regaining its strength, and the light spread everywhere.

Mira grabbed one of the spheres and said, “Go back to your place!” In an instant, the dreams began to return to the kingdom, lighting it up once more.In a flash, the Realm of Shadows collapsed, and Mira found herself back in the Kingdom of Dreams, beneath its colorful sky and glowing hopes.Noor looked at the pendant around her neck it was shining again. “You saved the Kingdom of Dreams, Mira.”Mira smiled, feeling a warm joy fill her heart. “I’m glad the dreams will live on, even if their owners forget them.”The next morning, Mira woke up in her bed, wondering, “Was it just a dream? Or was it real?”But when she found a small glowing glass sphere under her pillow, she knew the adventure was very real. The End.
